      • A huge downside of plastic toothbrushes is that they can’t be recycled. Most dentists recommend replacing your toothbrush every three or four months. If everyone around the world followed this recommendation, approximately 23 billion toothbrushes head for landfills each year. That’s 300 toothbrushes in a person’s lifetime. Yikes. Our eco-friendly toothbrush is designed to last you as long as a conventional plastic one but with less harm to our planet.
      • Instead of plastic, our toothbrush is made from sustainably and ethically grown, eco-friendly Bamboo that can be composted, straight back into the earth.
      • Our toothbrush is also Vegan & Cruelty-Free. Unfortunately, the only fully biodegradable bristles are those made from boar, badger or horsehair. These natural bristles aren’t vegan-friendly, are coarse (bad for gums) and are a breeding ground for bacteria. This is why we use synthetic fibres for the bristles which can be removed before composting the handles.

      • Our Bamboo toothbrush starts its life as Moso Bamboo. Don’t worry we haven’t stolen a Panda’s dinner. Moso bamboo is ‘panda-friendly’, pandas do not eat it or inhabit the area of China where it’s grown. The Moso bamboo that goes into making our brushes is sustainably-grown without the use of pesticides.
      • We have paired this natural germ buster with synthetic nylon-6 bristles (BPA free).
      • Rinse and care for your bristles just as you would with a conventional toothbrush. The heat-treated handle prevents the toothbrush from going mouldy - you can continue to keep your toothbrush by the sink in an .  We recommend keeping your toothbrush upright in an open-air toothbrush holder.
      • We recommend replacing your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months.  You’ll know when the time has come as the bristles will be rocking a permanent bad hair day. But before it’s ready for the compost, our bamboo friend can be a plant marker in the garden or even a great cleaning tool for those difficult nooks and crannies.
      • When the time has come to dispose of your bamboo toothbrush, remove the bristles with a pair of pliers and dispose of it in your household waste. The 100% biodegradable bamboo can be disposed of in your composting bin or used as firewood.
Even if you’re on holiday and you’ve forgotten your toothbrush, you should never share personal care items (razors, toothbrushes, nail scissors etc.) that may have been in contact with blood. Bleeding gums due to gingival inflammation poses a potential risk of transmitting blood borne diseases, such as hepatitis C.
